Once again, it’s time for me to have some attempts at a disciplined form of sticking some words into a recognised pattern.
As the title suggests, it’s a five line form, they don’t need to rhyme and I try to make them topical. So it’s a good title.
I start by trying to stick to a ‘traditional cinquain’ 1,2,3,4,1 words format. There’s also some gibberish (note: may be understood by intelligent people, so if any of those have stumbled in here, go have a look at the linked page here) about iambic feet and whatnot, but I had already tripped over mine after trying to digest five numbers in a row.
bubbles
delicate structures
formed in tension
along comes the PM
pricking

rushing
off home
the panicked stations
heavily gift-laden passengers
spreading

sinking
deep negotiations
delusional about fish
who rarely encounter borders
swimming

dancing
pure emotion
routines of complexity
all over the television
remote

Thank you for visiting Scribblans today. Sorry it probably wasn’t very good.
This bit of text here used to be me wittering on and effectively begging you to share the post, but I have decided not to bother with all that for 2021. Most people ignore it anyway.
I see what you did there…

There’s not much point in locking an area down but letting people who live there leave first! Typical government logic–give me reality show dancing any day of the week!

Yep, people are so quick to act in their own self-interest rather than think properly about the consequences of what they are doing for all of us.
Doesn’t make sense, if they think about it. But they don’t.
