Time for another Haiku, of the Ronovan Writes prompt variety–as opposed to the ‘just fancied posting a haiku today‘ variety, which I do many other times–and are just as bad–but aren’t prompted by Ronovan or anything else sensible.
This week’s 345th prompt word pairing is Bird and Blow
As ever, if you want to read proper examples of Haiku writing, follow that link. But, while you’re here, it’ll only take a few seconds to read mine, which follows.
No animals have been harmed in the writing of this post.
blow a squirrel’s brain
sneakily lace bird feeders
with chilli peanuts
There you go, educational as well, you can mix chilli flakes or powder in your birds peanut and seed feeders to put the rascally rodents off. The birds can’t taste the chilli, the squirrels can–and they don’t like it much.
And one more.
bitter winter blows
foreign migrations head south
birds borderless world
Thank you for visiting Scribblans today. Sorry it probably wasn’t very good.
This bit of text here used to be me wittering on and effectively begging you to share the post, but I have decided not to bother with all that for 2021. Most people ignore it anyway.
Chuckled at your first one – and on the same wavelength with your second – great minds eh? 😊

If you find yourself on the same level as me then you need to stop that and return to your normal higher level immediately.

Seems a bit harsh, getting Chip’n’Dales cousins all hot’n’bothered, but do what ya gotta do Bird Feeder Man. 2 X subtle and entertaining and educational.

My father-in-law has a great solution, a water pistol ‘machine gun’ thing that we bought him… he does the ratatatat-sound effects as he fires it at them too.

A great one…obviously the second one! 😀
The first was outright funny…..Have you really tried this out? Is it really a fact? 🙂

Ah, I did promise to provide a link for anything that is purported as being a real fact in my Terms and Conditions update post.
So, yes it is and here’s a link.

WOW! Nature has such wonderful methods to sustain and nurture all the life in this world. It gives a chance to every life to eat and survive. Thanks so much for this tip.
Btw I forgot to also mention that I loved the disclaimer on your post-“No birds were harmed…” 😀

We just leave regular peanuts out for the squirrels so they leave the birdfeeders alone. But it would be funny to see the look of the face of a squirrel who got a spicy nut! Love the haikus!

We don’t actually get squirrels where we are now but we had this entertainment at the previous house. Nothing like seeing the squirrels spitting out the nuts and scurrying fast to the pond to get a drink.
